Research Proposal
Today, we live in a world driven by technology and it has become an essential part of everyday life. Technology is constantly being developed to its maximum potential, and we also continue to discover new ways of incorporating it into our lives. In my research paper I will be exploring the following research question: How has the addition of learning applications benefited children with disabilities in the classroom? I am interested to explore what kinds of learning related technologies and applications have been created, and how they have increased the learning performance of children with disabilities. In order to answer this question, I will be considering a variety of examples from scholarly and unscholarly reports that demonstrate a variation of technological applications that have been made specifically for the classroom to help improve the learning outcomes of children with disabilities. An academic journal called: “A mobile application to improve learning performance of dyslexic children with writing difficulties,” written by Rabbia Tariq and Seemab Latif exemplifies the types of recourses I will be utilizing towards my research paper. This academic journal focuses on the disability that is dyslexia in particular, but I will also be examining resources that focus on applications benefiting a variety of disabilities. Over all, I am hoping that I will be able to gather a collection of resources that I can apply towards supporting my own observations, and revealing an answer to my research question.
