What a fun week this has been! The first day started with the kind and wonderful Aiken Lao who showed me the ropes and got me up to speed on all the fun projects I’d get to work on. Then I got to meet the team! What a beautiful bunch of people. We shared jokes, funny stories and talked about our favourite types of art as an ice breaker. I wish we could have been in the studio but getting to see everyone’s faces was still fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the end of the day, we were all pretty zonked and it got to the point of sending Elmo on fire memes back and forth. That’s when I knew these were my people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day two I started off by taking some reference photos of myself for a kids book I was doing thumbnails for which the team got a good kick out of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most projects I’m not allowed to talk about but I can say that it has been a blast. The last days of the week were a bit of a blur but I’ve gotten to sit in on client meetings, review sketches, add my ideas to projects, and generally be involved in EVERYTHING!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the last day of the week, the gang and I were chatting about horror movies when “The Shining” came up and my host (Carson Ting) asked “wasn’t there a sequel to that called the mooning?” we all lost it, to say the least. Everyone joked that I should make a poster for it…and I did! The best way to end week one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
