Mood board project<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I made my mood board about survey 7: “Cubism And Corporate Identity (1905 – 1915)” The events I chose are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. World War One – “Kitchener Wants You” (1915)<\/li>
  2. 1913 Washington Women’s Parade – the feminist movement<\/li>
  3. The Titanic (1912)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Invision is a challenging program to control, to say the least. I found myself having issues creating the layout as moving one image would cause everything to shift, and sometimes the board wouldn’t save my changes – I am not too sure why. Nonetheless, I think it was important for us to learn how to use this tool. After all, not every digital software is intuitive, and as future designers, we are bound to run into technical issues during our careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      For a project of this genre, I think creating a physical mood board would be a viable option (although colour printing could potentially be an issue.) In terms of presenting our information and having greater creative freedom over layouts, traditional media may be more practical. Overall, though, it was interesting to dive deeper into historical events, although I found it challenging to relate some of them to topics like design, science, fashion… etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      I would give myself a 7.5\/10 for this project. I spent a lot of time researching my topic in great depth and made sure I found the best images I could to convey my information. While I’m not entirely sure of how much written content was expected from us, I did try my best to write thorough paragraphs that conveyed the required information; hopefully it meets expectations. I played around with the layout possibilities InVision offers and settled on a design I think looks fairly decent. I do think my layout design could be improved, but I could not do exactly what I had in mind because InVision is tricky to control. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
