This photo is from a 2020 trip up to the Indian River Watershed to assess erosion impacts along the banks of the river. This photo is me standing atop the cascades for the Indian River; you can’t tell, but I’m about 80-90 feet above the water you see below!

Hi there, and welcome to my ‘About Me’ page!

My name is Anthony Stenner, and I’m an indigenous Environmental Technician. My work allows me to represent the community I call home, the Tsleil-Waututh Nation in North Vancouver. I’m a strong practitioner of the Seventh Generation Principle; as a father of 3, I do the work that I do to ensure my children, their future children, and my community have a chance to inherit a better world. My work sees me doing both intense desktop review of technical documents (environmental management plans, environmental protection plans), as well as the opportunity to go out and do fieldwork (such as plant surveys, fish counts, riparian management, and erosion & sediment control works).

In my spare time I enjoy playing Magic: The Gathering with my kids and friends, and BMXing. I’ve been an avid video gamer my whole life, and I am also a musician (multi-instrumentalist).

Thank you for taking the time to read a bit about myself 🙂
