Best known for designing the NBC and Times Warner Cable logo, Steff Geissbuhler is considered one of America\u2019s most essential and celebrated designers in history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born in 1942 in Switzerland, Geissbuhler had always been creative and has been fascinated with design since his childhood. So much so that he admitted to stealing posters from poster columns as a child for keepsake. He was also heavily exposed to creative works, including posters and brochures, as his godfather was a lithographer. This further influenced his passion for the arts and design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the age of 8, Geissbuhler and his family moved to Basel, where he would later begin pursuing his interest and attend the Basel School of Art and design to study graphic design. Here he began learning about illustration and typography, and soon upon graduation, he landed his first job working in the promotion department at the company Geigy Pharmaceuticals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geissbuhler would later move to the US and begin working at the Philadelphia College of Arts before working with Chermayeff & Geismar, where he would design his famous logos for NBC and Times Warner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
