Along with the two main focuses for the week architecture, fine art and culture were brought up in examinations. In typography, the effect of each time period began to show as literacy and text increased and started to exist. A move away from Christianity\u00a0became apparent as more people were printing early versions of textbooks and scientific documents.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center\">Vanity Paintings<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">A genre of still life paintings that thrived in the Netherlands around the early 17th century. These paintings included a still life array of items related to death and the existentialism\u00a0of humans.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assortedscribbles.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/10\/allegory_of_the_vanities.jpg?w=390\" alt=\"Image\" width=\"390\" height=\"308\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Harmen Steenwyck, \u201cStill Life: an Allegory of the Vanities of Human Life\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">These paintings often showed the vanity of accomplishments people made to earth and the grand scheme of life.
