Paula Scher is one of the top influential graphics in the world. Scher works the line between pop culture and fine art in her work. Since 1991, Paula has been a partner in the New York office of Pentagram. There she began he career as an art director in the 1970s and early 80s, where her approach to typography became highly influential. In the mid-1990s her landmark identity for The Public Theater fused high and low into a new symbology for cultural institutions, and her recent architectural collaborations have re-imagined the urban landscape as a dynamic environment of dimensional graphic design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scher has been the recipient of hundreds of honours including the National Design Award and the AIGA medal. She is an established artist exhibiting worldwide, and her designs are in the permanent collection of the MOMA, the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, the Library of Congress, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and other institutions. A documentary on Scher and her work can be seen in the Netflix series \u201cAbstract:\u00a0 The Art of Design.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
