My “Yearbook Spread” was created to fit a celestial theme. I could not decide on any one theme for a very long time, but I landed on one that I have been meaning to play around with for a while. My goal was to create something modern and visually appealing which I believe I achieved those elements in my project. I made the design symmetrical which gave it a more professional look to the finished piece. I also added a bit of my flare to make it more unique to me, rather than something found on the internet.
To add my uniqueness to the piece, I added in a handful of constellations that have great meaning to me, besides being a pretty collection of stars. I chose Virgo (my Zodiac sign), Leo (my mother’s Zodiac sign), Scorpio (my father’s Zodiac sign), and the Big Dipper. My sign is a show of what kind of person I am, a stereotypical Virgo. My parent’s signs are a representation of how I look up to them and hope to be like them one day. And The Big Dipper is one of my favourite constellations, ever since I was a little girl, so that’s why I chose it.
Out of ten, I would give myself a nine and a half. I gave this project my all but the stars in the bottom corner were not my favourite choice. In the future, I would go with a different style of the star.
