April Greiman, born 1948, is an American graphic designer and early adopter of computer technology as a design tool. She also played a prominent role in popularizing America’s European New Wave style in the 1970s and 80s. Often considered the bridge between the modern and postmodern movements, Greiman remains one of the most influential living designers today. Greiman has noted that she does not consider herself a graphic designer but instead prefers to be referred to as a transmedia artist. How very postmodern of her!

Her style uses vibrant colour and an abundance of busy visual elements to create a cacophony of interaction on the page. While I appreciate the innovative approach in her work, this period and style of design are difficult to love. Guess I’m an “old soul.”
