\nZip Ribbon: The motion lines in comics.
\nSynaesthetics: Utilizing different art to unite all of the senses.
\nThe Word Balloon: The contours of a word balloon can depict tone of voice or even volume.
\nThe “Visual”: Resemblance, color, light, etc.
\nThe “Invisible”: Sound, smell, etc.
\nWord Specific: Pictures illustrate, but do not add to the text.
\nPicture Specific: Words add a soundtrack to a visual sequence.
\nDuo Specific: Words and pictures do the same job.
