I have opted to cover the Ishihara Colorblind tests as they were invented in 1917.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I decided to pick this topic because colourblindness is a personal subject to me as I am colourblind myself! Any reason to teach people about colourblindness is motivation enough for me. I decided to recreate the original testing plate with watercolour as that was how they were originally made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/eportfolios.capilanou.ca\/dallasmckinnon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9738\/2019\/12\/survey8-mckinnon-d-1024x512.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-294\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eportfolios.capilanou.ca\/dallasmckinnon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9738\/2019\/12\/survey8-mckinnon-d-1024x512.png 1024w, https:\/\/eportfolios.capilanou.ca\/dallasmckinnon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9738\/2019\/12\/survey8-mckinnon-d-300x150.png 300w, https:\/\/eportfolios.capilanou.ca\/dallasmckinnon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9738\/2019\/12\/survey8-mckinnon-d-768x384.png 768w, https:\/\/eportfolios.capilanou.ca\/dallasmckinnon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9738\/2019\/12\/survey8-mckinnon-d-192x96.png 192w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Problems I ran into were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Layout of information on the adjacent picture<\/li><li>Finding appropriate decoration for the spread that demonstrated vision<\/li><li>Rendering text<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Things I felt I did well:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Overall concept and execution<\/li><li>Topic Selection<\/li><li>Selective colour on the test plate<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I would grade this work an 8\/10 as the decoration could have been more involved and I could have put a symbol in the testing plate itself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(This was my jab at everyone with correct colour vision \ud83d\ude41 )<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shinobu Ishihara and his colourblind tests I was tasked to create a science artifact set between 1815-1825.
