About Me

I am a third year student in the Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Liberal Studies program at Capilano University. In my undergraduate academic career, I have focused my coursework in the fields of Women’s and Gender Studies, Anthropology, and English. In my current studies, I am most interested in Feminist Theory. Research areas within Feminist studies that interest me most include issues affecting women in society; and, the complexities of masculinity. Outside of Capilano I have volunteered for the Aunt Leah’s Place organization.

My goal upon completing this individualized degree is to have undertaken an education that caters to my interests, but also expands my learning beyond my comfort zone. I aspire to gain the skills and knowledge required to continue research in my fields of interest after I graduate. I hope to be able to contribute to the welfare of women and other vulnerable groups in society, on both a micro and macro level.
