Devon Simpson is an intrepid writer and wanderer who writes both fiction and non-fiction on environmental issues, horror, and fantasy. She has a background in Earth and Ocean sciences, Psychology and Liberal Studies and aims to contribute to science as a writer. Her dynamic writing stems from extensive interests and wide-sweeping experiences. She has lived in a student filled mansion in Victoria, a ship off the coast of Alaska, a shack in Hawaii, an old hotel in Los Angeles, and in the back of her pickup overlooking mountains. She is a gardener from the village of Lions Bay in British Columbia. She went to Capilano University and the University of Victoria in British Columbia. She has articles published in the Capilano Courier and short stories in the literary magazine The Liar. Upcoming projects in 2020 from Devon include: The Raincoast Sustainability podcast, a young adults novel pendinding publication, and a Noir short story.
