For this phase, I mocked up the rest of the product design and was able to get feedback from my mentor. She made a lot of comments which I really appreciated and was even able to show my mid-fi wireframes to other people in the agency, including a developer. As such, I was able to implement her feedback as well as start thinking about the perspective from a developer and how to make elements more consistent so that it’s easier to build. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
After I applied my UI style guide to the rest of the app, I then started getting ready on presenting my product to Goat’s design team. I was also able to ask my mentor tips and how she usually presents projects in her work and gained a lot of knowledge in how industry worked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I presented to the 3 people on the team and was able to make great connections! They were able to give me a lot of advice to how I can restructure the app to make the User Experience better for users and even suggested features that I could explore and consider this summer or in fourth year. Finally, I also asked them any tips they could give me as a young interactive designer and was also recommended several resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Overall, this week was overwhelming with lots of work to be done in a tight timeframe, but definitely the most rewarding week by far. I was especially happy about being able to gain knowledge and experience from working professionals in the field and learn industry tips\/norms. It also turned out I did not predict the date of the class presentation well so I was a week ahead of schedule, but that just gave me more time to readjust my presentation for class (as the original was not possible to present in 5 minutes). I would rate myself a 10\/10 for being able to pull everything off as well as balance my other projects on hand. It definitely the week I learned the most about how working designers in the industry operated and I found that very rewarding.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
