“Modiano<\/em>” R\u00f3bert Ber\u00e9ny’s most famous design <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After looking at these reference images, I established how and why I wanted to complete my project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I decided to replicate “Modiano” by R\u00f3bert Ber\u00e9ny\u00a0and this is my finished product. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After choosing to make my piece look as if it was hanging on a brick wall, I saw it fit to add to the 1920-1930’s aspect by adding apples and job-listing slips to add to the Great Depression timeline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I added apples as a crop to my picture because during the great depression apples were used by the under-class to throw at poster\/advertisements out of anger because they couldn’t afford to buy them. I also added job listing slips because of how in demand jobs were in these frantic times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I chose to replicate this poster because of how simple the design was, yet how obvious the advertisement was about. R\u00f3bert Ber\u00e9ny\u00a0was an influential artist\/ illustrator and introduced a newer, contemporary style that can be seen close to Bauhaus and to a Russian constructivism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m quite proud of how my project turned out. I spent about 7-8 hours on this entire project, and I think I deserve a 9.5\/10 because I thought through this project, and made sure that it fit the time period it was in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
