- This has been especially challenging because of covid, so it\u2019s been a great exercise for me to be more sociable and to take initiative.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
- Everybody was once at the intern stage, as long you\u2019re working hard to continuously improve, don\u2019t beat yourself up for not being at your coworkers\u2019 standard.<\/li>
- There\u2019s always more to learn and improve on, the education don\u2019t stop when you\u2019re out of school!! <\/li>
- Once you stop learning in your job, it may be time to move on to something else<\/li>
- Seek help from other people, you\u2019re in a team!!!
- And then get to a level where you can return the favour <\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Initially struggling in multitasking and better communication, here are some things I\u2019ve done to improve based on everybody\u2019s advice (still improving!):<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- It\u2019s better to underpromise and overdeliver on deliverable timelines, rather than the opposite<\/li>
- Communicate with project managers early on regarding when I can get the task done
- Immediately look over the deliverable brief to gauge how long it would take and to reach out ASAP if there are any questions<\/li>
- It\u2019s better to over communicate than say nothin\u2019!<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
- \u00a0If I don\u2019t think I can take on a task, clearly explain the reason (What I\u2019m currently working on, etc.)
- DON\u2019T JUST BLINDLY SAY YES<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
- Prioritize projects by
- Due date<\/li>
- Client -> Internal
- Sometimes these dates aren\u2019t clearly stated so just reach out to project managers to ask about what to place priority on!<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
- Refer to my allotted hours to also gauge roughly what my resourcing should look like for the week
