Privet<\/strong>, my dear friends! How are you today? Now I am going to teach you how to be polite and say Thanks in Russian. Transcription of the word is [S-P-A-S’-I-B-A] <\/strong>with the stress on the sound [I] – SPASI-I-IBA <\/strong>and with a soft sound [S’]. <\/strong>Let’s try again – SPASIBA. <\/strong>Well done!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did you know<\/em> that many years ago Russian word <\/em>SPASIBA <\/em><\/strong>(spelling is SPASIBO) was created from the phrase <\/em>“SPASI <\/em><\/strong>TEBYA <\/em>BO<\/em><\/strong>G”, which means “Save you, God”? <\/em>So every time you say SPASIBA <\/strong>to someone you want him or her to be saved by God, and this is absolutely perfect, isn’t it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
