It is using repeating visual elements such as colour, shapes, and line to help create rhythm, as well as unify the image. The image is very organized and easy for the viewer to look at. as you can see, this image is emphasizing the bird since that is the pattern that is being repeated. I think the creator did a good job on creating an exact duplication of this pattern. The design, from the shape to the colour, is identical throughout the entire image. The use of repetition helps strengthen this image and shows a sense of unity. Overall, I believe this image is a proper representation of repetition.

2. Balance

The design principle present in this image is balance. Looking at this image, I can confirm that it is symmetrical and very well balanced. Everything in the image is aligned well together, neither side is missing any element. The image is properly centered in the middle and is stable. The image being symmetrically balanced, makes look more consistent and unified. Since it’s so symmetrically balanced, my eyes immediately go to the center of the image whenever I look at it. Overall, I believe this image is a great example of how pleasing it is to look at a well-balanced image.

Repetition Orla Kiely Birds The design principle present in this image is repetition.
