About Me:

My name is Gurmandeep Kaur and I am an international student currently pursuing Associate of Science Degree- Biology in Capilano University, North Vancouver. I was born and raised in India by a very loving and supporting family. I moved to Canada in 2022 as a freshman with the motive of experiencing better education opportunities and enduring international competition . I love challenges and pushing my boundaries. So I often engage in activities that involve some thrill. This is the reason for my drift towards sports. I am an athlete and national Taekwondo player. I have participated in many championships and won. I enjoy travelling, and I tend to pick destinations that are rich in nature because crowded places make me uncomfortable. I am a selectively social person who finds it difficult to be open up with everyone. I enjoy keeping up with current events and engaging in conversations on social topics. My current study at Capilano University will help me make a career in healthcare as my enrolled courses are a prerequisites for my future education. I am being exposed to a wide range of events that are enhancing my life and allowing me to develop personally

LEARNING OUTCOMES FROM ENGL 100

The topics covered in this course helped me understand concepts about friendship. The articles and course content discussed various aspects about stages and behavior in friendship. My instructor Dr Hande Gurses tried to develop better understanding about language and course discussions by giving assignments that covered the subject matter. The knowledge gained from critical examination of my work while doing these assignments will be helpful for me in my upcoming courses. My writing and understanding abilities inclined by enrolling in this course.
