This Summer 2020 semester was a roller-coaster ride for me. One is an English course, second, it is a summer course that means 14 weeks work sum up in 7 weeks of time and on top of that, it is pandemic time due to which online classes are going on. So, in this summer 2020 ENGL100 course, we have 6 assignments in total including this portfolio. However, when the course starts my first assignment for summary was a success to me. But, in week 2, I messed up my Argument and persuasion assignment. In fact, I got an F grade in the assignment. But, then I had a one to one discussion with Alicia, and thanks to her, she gave me a chance to redeem myself and asked me to re-attempt the assignment but with a 10% penalty. I was still satisfied because “Something is better than nothing”. I went back to the assignment and found I missed my in-text citations and made a lot of grammatical errors. I decided, to proofread each and every line and give a proper in-text citation to each of them. This was a great lesson to me, because in future, if I ever writing an essay, I will always keep in mind that I got an F garde for a assignment due to my grammatical errors and most importantly, not to forget to add in-text citaions in order to not be plagiarized. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would thank Alicia Fahey, For bearing with me and my mistakes and simultaneously, guiding me at the same time throughout the semester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
