I am currently working in a wedding dress shop in there alterations department. Working on a wide range of alterations and builds. I will be displaying some of my bigger, more difficult projects.
Sleeves Into Spaghetti Strap Wedding Dress:
(Still in progress) Creating full length sleeves for this spaghetti strap wedding dress. The sleeves will be made of tulle and nude mesh, then covered in applique with beads. Using a basic set in sleeve draft I draped the rest on the dressform. The sleeve is just in mock up stage, fitting has not yet occured.
Detachable Wedding Dress Train:
Using matching fabric, I created a pattern for a train that replicates the pleats of the back of the dress. This train attaches under the waistband with hock and hand sewn bars. The train is bagged out, under stitched, and matching buttons down the whole centre back of the train.
