For my historical artifact I decided to paint a flower pot to resemble the Art Nouveau ceramics that were created in that period. I thought the organic style of Art Nouveau was beautiful and found it interesting that fine arts and literature at this time was being replaced with decorative arts such as ceramics, architecture, glassware and metalwork.
I shot my image of the artifact outside in the forest and used Bodoni text to give a sense of the time period. I would rate myself a 7/10 because I think I could have been more creative with how I presented my paragraph but was happy with the design on the flower pot.
