My Life in a Nut Shell

Hey, Im Hannah! Here are some a few things about me.

I grew up on the Sunshine Coast and enjoy the simplicity of a small town! Because I grew up with very little around me, I have learned to find joy in little things and work with what I’ve got. What I miss most about home is the beaches, the backroads, and the freedom that comes with being away from the city.

In 2018, graduated form Elpinstone Secondary School. I am currently attending Capilano University and am working towards completing my Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies. My overall goal with school is to become an elementary school teacher, so once I complete my bachelor degree at CapU I will begin that part of my education journey.

The main reason I’m completing my education goals the long way is because I am a student athlete for the CapU Women’s Volleyball team. While it’s always a fun time, it is also a lot of work. I’ve learned to be good at managing my time and being diligent with school. My team is my second family, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to play the sport I love while representing my school.

Some of my hobbies include playing the violin, painting/drawing, and playing volleyball. I also really enjoy getting outside, especially for hikes! I have played the violin for 15 years, but have unfortunately put it to the side while I’m attending university and playing volleyball. However, I have kept up with painting and drawing regularly to make up for it. I personally enjoy water colour and pencil sketches, but also enjoy other medias. Volleyball has always been a huge aspect of my life. Once I was in high school, I knew that I wanted to work towards playing on a post secondary team. CapU really stood out to me because it was small, and is know to have a really friendly environment.
