The way this course was delivered was a great fit for me; being online, I was able to work at home so I could continue to take care of my other duties of life. The self-pace mode was really nice because while this course was important to me, my kids tend to take priority. I also really enjoyed the practical side of this course, like building the eportfolio, as hands on learning is best for me to really understand the material.
The theory on the other hand was interesting but harder for me to really grasp. Maybe that’s just me though. Perhaps if it were tailored towards a more hands on experience, I may have come away with more. Or even a part of it as I understand the importance of needing to work with this kind learning. I’m not sure how that could be done, one idea is that an assignment could be created where the student has to actually delete cookies as well as reading about it. Though it was a great introduction to what cookies are, I still need to learn how to delete cookies. Maybe that’s in the computers at the next level!
