At the beginning of this week I met with Andrew, one of the front end developers at We the Collective. Coming into the meeting with him I didn\u2019t really know what to expect as my coding knowledge is limited to say the least. Throughout our call my mind was quickly opened to the potential of html and css as those are the main languages used. I am starting to ask myself the question of if there is a limit to coding and therefore UI \u2014 which I may now start looking into a little more seriously. My personal experience with coding is the making of my own personal website which definitely still needs some work but I feel like I have been given this encouragement of less restraints on what I can do, I just have to be willing to put in the time \u2014 not that I plan to do anything crazy, but maybe something a little more stylized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with this new realization that coding is a bit more \u201climitless\u201d than I had previously thought, I was able to get the inside scoop of how ux and ui designs are structured. Down to their wireframes and through the process. Getting to shadow how the designers around me look at things and set themselves up for success is definitely something I\u2019m taking note of and planning to place into my own design process. I have always found user accessibility and experience interesting things to research and learn more about but I have yet to find the confidence to really design for UI\/UI spaces. Not to say that I am unwilling to try because that is definitely not the case, but it\u2019s been hard to find the balance of unique and out-there designs while still keeping it accessible. Moving forward and learning more, I am excited to design alongside others who can guide me to find what resources keep designers inspired and how they think with the web developers in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
