When I decided to enroll in this class, I was very scared of it, as an

international student and nonnative English speaker, I was scared of

suffering criticism about my way of speaking English and also by

the fact that I’m not used to taking all my classes in English or

talking English all the time. However, Brian helped me a lot in this

topics by, correcting my papers in a correct way, always pointing out

what I did wrong in a reasonable and comprehensive way. All my

friends that have taken this course before me told me it was going

to be tough and I’ll have to be ready to expect failing this class, at

first I believed in them, nowadays though, I can say that taking ENGL

100 not only helped me to improve my speaking, writing, and reading

abilities in the English language, but, it also helped me become

confident enough to have a part time job while studying and also

expanding my network.
