The document below is my Fields of Interest Assessment Exercise. It is a reflection on the significant things I have done academically and my plans for the rest of my time in the Liberal Studies program at Capilano University. It outlines my goals for my Tutorials and my Graduating Project, as well as my emerging interests.

The document below is my response paper to Chapter 1 of Ways of Seeing by Berger, Ruspoli’s Being in the World, and Vilhauer’s “Gadamer and the Game of Understanding”. It explores my ideas for my research projects in relation to these three academic works.

Below is my second response paper for Module 2. It explores tactics for avoiding the continuation of colonialist practices in my research. Through a study of the film Arrival, a talk by Cindy Charleyboy, and Linda Tuhiwai Smith’s book Decolonizing Methodologies, I explore ways restaurants can change their colonialist practices and acknowledge the land and resources they utilize.

My Module 3 final assignment is below. It compiles some literature on the subject of artists and restaurants as well as outlining my intentions for my second tutorial with Dr. Josema Zamorano in the spring. I also describe my goals for my third tutorial and my graduating project.
