To those reading this, deliberately or because you accidentally stumbled across my site: My hope here is to be able to give you a glimpse into my life as a student and philanthropist.
I’m currently a fourth year student at Capilano University working towards achieving my Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management. I have also been working at Coast Capital Savings for about six years and I aim to eventually work in the HR department at Coast Capital Savings.
In addition to school and work, philanthropy has been a major part of my life since the age of 12. I began volunteering with numerous organizations such as the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation at a young age and eventually started a non-profit organization with three of my peers in 2010, called Youth Transforming Society. Our aim has been to raise awareness of local and global issues and encourage volunteerism among young people. We strive to achieve this goal through annual events such as Volunteering and Beyond, which is a volunteer fair for high school and post secondary students to attend, and connect with over 60 volunteer organizations.
In addition to Youth Transforming Society, I have a passion for working with animals and have volunteered my time with various organizations such as the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society. I hope to be able to further my professional career, by intricately tying together my interests, skills, as well as future and past experiences.
