Consulting UAViation Aerial Solutions

In Fall 2020, I took a Social Media Marketing course that required us to work on a major group assignment. My team and I got to work on a project with UAViation, a company that provides commercial and industrial UAV/Drone aerial photography services across Canada. This project allowed us to apply what we learned in class in a real-world business and industry setting, which was exciting.

We got to experience a client briefing like actual consultants and then had the opportunity to present our plan as a written document, which our group presented to the class and the client. In the end, our instructor gave us excellent feedback. This was very rewarding after all the work and effort we had put into this project.

Consulting Ocean Ambassadors Canada

During Spring 2020, I was the team leader in a consulting project for my Marketing Projects in Industry class in which my group and I had the opportunity to work with Ocean Ambassadors Canada. A not-for-profit organization in Vancouver that is turning the tide of marine pollution through educational programs and community initiatives by getting people into the ocean, educating them about the threat of marine pollution, and empowering them to make real change.

We helped them develop and introduce their new corporate packages and worked as their consultants providing them with valuable market research through situational analysis and primary research. Throughout the semester, we were able to obtain solid leads for our client’s business, do an in-depth competitors’ analysis, and also created a presentation package for potential clients along an e-brochure. This was a very unique and valuable project that allowed us to provide value to a local environmental organization and obtain first-hand industry experience at the same time.

Digital Marketing plan and campaign for Straydog

This project objective was to create a digital marketing plan for a real client.

My group and I contacted Straydog, a local branding agency in West Vancouver. After our meeting, we understood which were our client’s needs and proceeded to do research and come up with strategies to help the company achieve its business goals. We identified their target market for their new service, chose the channels to go after, established timing, a budget, and developed action plans to create awareness, increase website traffic, and attract new clients through SEO ranking improvement, Increase social media presence and online advertising (PPC)

The great part about this project is that we worked with a real client who already had a strong website, which made more challenging for us. However, we truly wanted to bring real value to this company.
