My name is Mialy Coraly Otavalo, I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, and currently have the blessing to be a student at Capilano University. I moved here from Alberta, Canada to study in a much, much warmer part of the cold north. I am studying Business Administration, with the end goal to be an executive manager for my family’s business Oldtribes.com. Since I was a child I was told to be fairly mature for my age, I like to think I was just extremely responsible. My hobbies include swimming and badminton, I like things that require commitment and manage to motivate me to work hard and be the best. My tendency to be the older sister in almost every situation has shaped me to be flexible when needed in situations that require patience and that challenge me to see problems from a point of view other than my own. Overall though, I would say I am a seriously happy person, with my family to guide me and a strong desire in my heart to do good, and of course, learning from my mistakes to learn and ultimately be better.
It’s important to me to look for the bright side in all aspects. I found this helped me look at life from a different angle, one that always had hope for the future and I get to live my life in peace because of that.
