She was once known as Japan&#8217;s best Art director, and after seeing some images of her accomplishments- it is easy to see why. Ishioka is most famous for her costume design work, but she had started in the advertising industry with graphic design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/eportfolios.capilanou.ca\/natashalee2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11637\/2021\/04\/Album-Cover-TUTU.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-357\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eportfolios.capilanou.ca\/natashalee2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11637\/2021\/04\/Album-Cover-TUTU.jpg 500w, https:\/\/eportfolios.capilanou.ca\/natashalee2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11637\/2021\/04\/Album-Cover-TUTU-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption>Miles Davis&#8217;s Tutu album covers by Eiko Ishioka<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A true master of the arts, Ishioka won a Grammy award for the &#8220;best recording package&#8221; for Miles Davis&#8217;s album Tutu in 1987, and an Academy Award and two Tony awards for her costume design work in varying films and plays.
