Shivam Cotton Industries is a cotton Ginning factor located in Vemardi, India. Ginning is the primary process on cotton on the journey to form a garment. Shivam cotton produces the finest in the in the Gujarat district, it is well known for maintaining grade consistancy.

I have work as procurement manager at Shivam Cotton Industries. During my management, i had to purchase the raw cotton from farm at the fluctuating market rates. Producing a proper blend of cotton by purchasing different grades of raw feed was a major task, the properties of final product called cotton bale directly depend on the characteristics of cotton. During the purchasing i had to forecast the future market trend and set the purchasing prices such that the company can maximize gain with minimum investment.

During this year of work, i excelled in various aspects of textile field. I got chance to challenge my self for future endeavour. As a result of my hard work the company witnessed 15% increase in profit for that year.
