Just an update on where I am…Ive done a bit more distillation and storyboarding for “A Good Man is Hard to Find”.\u00a0 I was hesitant at first as my notes\/sketching can be chicken scratchy, sometimes even to the point I can’t re-read my notes!<\/p>\n

In general:<\/p>\n

  1. I was using what I was learning in other IDEA classes to dissect how I would style a page and make decisions.\u00a0 The most helpful hints Ive had were to use Pinterest for mood boards and to scan other illustrators work (decide and mash) versus trying to do everything on your own from scratch.\u00a0 It’s not copying but using sources of inspiration and making your own!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. Dissected the story, picked what I thought was relevant.\u00a0 I had a good suggestion from a comment to review the actual script and it helped a lot!\u00a0 Below is a summary of the text and general panels.\u00a0 I started to try and use the whole story and see if I could reduce it versus spending time on a shorter scene (Ill adjust later if needed!)<\/p>\n
