Hello. My name is Shruti Karthikeyan and I am a first-year student in the IDEA program at Capilano University. I was born in India but moved to Canada when I was eight years old. I recently moved to Vancouver from Montreal after completing my first year of Cegep (Grade 12) at Dawson College. I believe that a career in a field that I love doing is worth more than any other factor, therefore I chose this program. I also like creative work in general. In addition to art and design, my interests include reading and writing. In fact, from 2015 to 2020, I published eight stories on a storytelling platform called Episode Interactive. I also enjoy reading the news and learning about current issues around the world. Apart from these interests, I spend my free time biking with my brother and talking to my family and friends.
