Yayoi Kusama is a Japanese artist who was born on March 22, 1929. She is known for producing a variety of artwork such as sculptures, paintings and having her own art installations. She has held many exhibitions across the world and has her own gallery in Tokyo. Yayoi Kusama was interested in art from a young age and would always carry her sketchbook with her everywhere. Kusama had a troubled relationship with her family and her parents did not support her interest in painting. All of this led her to experience hallucinations and other mental health issues. However, she continued to work on her passions. Her career as an artist started out poor, but eventually her work started getting recognition. Her work is known for her bright and bold colours and her excessive use of dots. In fact, a lot of her work is inspired by pop art and abstract expressionism. Her installations are very bright, colourful and make well use of contrast, polka dots, and use of light. I personally really like her work because she doesn’t have a particular theme and seems more focused on depicted colours and shapes in the form of circles. Her overall theme is very happy, cheerful and differs from what other artists have done in the past. I really admire her courage to experiment and create an immersive experience for her audience. Overall, Yayoi Kusama’s bold approach to art is something that will continue to inspire many artists for generations to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
