His work involves freehand lettering, contrasting colours, art nouveau inspiration, flowling lines, multiple patterns,\u00a0 etc, all of which have become common characteristics of psychedelic posters. Wilson initially started as a layout designer but eventually started making concert posters for people such as Bill Graham and Chet Helms. Surprisingly, the ineligibility of his poster fonts is what contributed to the craze of it. In fact, when Graham questioned why people would look at this poster if they can\u2019t understand it, Wilson replied \u201cThey\u2019ll stop to read it because they can\u2019t read it.\u201d His posters got so popular that people started pulling them down and collecting them before they could even be put up. The impact of his posters continues to have an effect today on major fashion brands such as Dries Van Noten and Olympia -Le Tan who replicate his images and on their products as his style still
