In early, he was taught by Fran\u00e7ois Bocion who had been teaching at the Lausanne \u00c9cole Industrielle for forty years. After graduation, his family took him on a trip to Egypt which had an important influence on his future style. He became interested in Egyptian art and Japanese prints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/d2jv9003bew7ag.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/Eugene-Grasset-Hommage-a-Sato-Torakiyo-photo-via-mutualart-com.jpg\" alt=\"Eugene Grasset french print new france garden page salon posters century\" \/><figcaption> Eugene Grasset, <em>Hommage a Sato Torakiyo <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Grasset&#8217;s father was a cabinetmaker and sculptor, that Eug\u00e8ne Grasset was influenced by him so much since he was young because he could have so much practice in these crafts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/3\/32\/Eugene_Grasset%2C_poster_for_Grafton_Galleries%2C_1893.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><figcaption> Eug\u00e8ne Samuel Grasset, <em>Poster for an exhibition of French decorative art at the\u00a0Grafton Galleries<\/em>, 1893 <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Eug\u00e8ne Grasset\u2018s works were known for delicate elements, such as flowers, trees, and plants, and largely using curvy and circular motifs. The influence of Japanism is obvious, complex lines and float graphic build up a lot of his images. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alfred Choubrac <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/f\/fc\/Choubrac_1896.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"492\" height=\"585\" \/><figcaption> Photo portrait of Alfred Choubrac <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Alfred Choubrac ( Paris, 30 December 1853 \u2013 Paris, 25 July 1902 ) was a French poster artist. His elder brother, L\u00e9on Choubrac (17 November 1847 \u2013 5 April 1885), was also a poster designer, and they were both trained by Charles Do\u00ebrr and Isidore Pils at the \u00c9cole des Beaux Arts. Afterward, they created the Ateliers Choubrac and work for themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/0\/0f\/Affiche_Folie_Berg%C3%A8re_Danse_de_la_serpentine.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><figcaption>  Alfred Choubrac, Poster Folies Berg\u00e8res\u00a0<em>Danse de la serpentine<\/em>, 1890<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Alfred Choubrac&#8217;s works are mainly about the posters for the shows in the Parisian night-life scene of the Belle \u00c9poque such as the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Vari\u00e9t\u00e9s, Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Ch\u00e2telet, Folies Berg\u00e8re. Due to this topic, in April 1891, under the orders from the Minister of the Interior, several of Alfred\u2019s posters were prohibited and he was brought to court along with the printers.
