An ePortfolio is a digitally hosted collection of academic work from a student, this may include artwork, essays, videos, images, and more. This ability to visually see the progress of your work overtime, as well as see areas you excel in and areas you may not, can help me and other students like me to make decisions about our academic goals.
One benefit is the ability to reflect on my progress as I continue to add work to my portfolio, this provides a unique opportunity to note areas may require more of my focus. Further, an ePortfolio can be helpful in developing confidence in my work as I’ll be able to see how far my work has come over time, as well as see how it all fits together and what similar patterns and themes appear, rather than seeing my work as a bunch of unrelated pieces.
