Akiko Stehrenberger designed this intriguing poster for a film titled AFTER THE STORM<\/em>, directed by Kore-Eda Hirokazu. Stehrenberger uses a water droplet type texture to distort parts of the illustration to look like water on glass. It is used to tie the idea of water left after a storm. The droplets are positioned in a way to bring the viewer’s focus to the two figures in frame. The smooth texture of the building and ground also help the subjects to stand out.

The team from Mattson Creative who worked on this poster, used size as an excellent way to show depth and comparison between what is in the foreground and background. Enlarging the car gives the perception that it is closer to the viewer than the rest of the composition. This is also supported by the small figure on skis, emphasizing the depth of the poster.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The team at Mattson Creative show their strengths by being able to work with different elements of design. The main element they use here is shape. The combinations of different shapes form little figures which are clumped together in the centre of the poster. Effectively creating one larger shape in the form of a Christmas tree.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
