About Me: My name is Thananop Assavaniwest, my nickname is Zen. I’m first-year student of Capilano University studying Business Administration. This is my eportfolio. I’m from Thailand. My hobby is playing games and sports especially soccer. I’m very passionate person only on the things that i’m interested in.
I Choose to study at Capilano University because found it very peaceful university and not much competition in the university. This university is also friendly for international student like me because their is many international student in this university. I spend mostly of my time at university at Birch and Fir building. I like study at Birch building because there is a cafeteria at the building. I hope that I will learn strategy of business from the university so I can use it in my near future. I looking for experience from differrent instructor, also there perspective and tricks for business. For ENG100 I hope that I will learn how to write essay correctly and easy to read and more formal. I will continue my dad business in the future. My dad business is about stainless steel ( material that use to make spoon, fork, and kitchen furniture.
My plan in the future is to continue my dad business. My dad business is about buying stainless steel from the factory and sell it in a form of roll like a toilet paper to the other factory that will produce the furniture and utensils. My plan at first is to continue my dad business until I have enough money to open a new business that I wanted to do for a long time which is open my own cutting factory. The reason that I wanted to do this business is to reduce the cost for my father from paying for the cutting at the other factory. If my plan of opening my own cutting factory is complete, the cost of the product for my father company will decrease and if the cost of the product decrease, the profit will increase if we sell the product at the same price like before. On the other hand, my company can find mor customers and let them bring there product to cut at my factory and this way, my company and my father company will both get profit. The cost of the machine and the place for my factory combined together is $6,000,000. I aimed to get all of my cost that I have spend on my factory to back in 7 years and make my own profit from then.
My second idea of my business is to open my own instant ramen restuarant. I got this idea from BADM 101 last semester. The restuarant is just like ichiran ramen in Japan. Ichiran ramen restuarant in Japan is vending machine restuarant. The idea of the restaurant is to let the customer choose the instant ramen from the vending machine. We have every kind of ramen in the world. When the customers already selected the instant ramen that they wanted, the cusomers need to choose the toping from the other vending machine and they will get the ticket for the toping. Next step is to find the seat. This is an individual table, the table will have removable wooden barrier on two side to let the customer get some privacy if they come to eat alone. There will have a blind in front of the table. Customers need to place the ramen and the toping ticket infront of the table and press the button to call the waiter that will take your order from behind the blind. This is my second plan of the business that I wanted to do in the future.
