Theo Dimson was a Canadian graphic designer born April 8, 1930 in London, Ontario. He was most known for his movie and theatre posters which were done in a very art deco style. He did his schooling at Ontario College of Art and Design with a scholarship and graduated in 1950. His style was very clean, like how art deco is. You can find that he used a colour scheme that was darker with some lighter colours for the figures to contrast the background and figures. Most of his figures were either drawn facing the front or as a profile. His posters also had what looks like gold foil on certain details and it really adds a nice touch to his pieces. Some of his pieces are have more details than others. Some of his pieces are more conceptual with silhouettes and symbols. He also did some Canadian postage stamps.
