The hair of the figure is illustrated with many lines, both thick and thin. The use of hair extending to the front of the frame through Morales\u2019 line work creates both elements of depth and mystery. It adds a whimsical nature to an otherwise simple scene of a figure bobbing in the water. In addition, the hair cascading off the frame adds an element of mystery, as we wonder where it leads. The element of line generates great interest for the eye, and fleshes out an otherwise contained scene.
