The artist chose to use the gestalt technique in this poster to depict the story in a single picture. The image foreshadows the tone of the story, in the book Snow White eats a poisonous apple that is saved by a kiss by the mysterious prince. The heart in the middle represents the apple seeds and the chewed marks show the face outline of Snow White and the price. The design follows the principal by including multiple images to explain the plot of the story, showing the viewer the story in a singular image. By using a dark background the artist lets the apple core stand out and creates contrast, the designer does the to draw initial attention the the foreground image.
