This poster shows figure/foreground effect by mimicking a hourglass shape. The hourglass shape represents time going down which works effectively with the title.

The phrase “every second counts” is greatly emphasized with the giant hourglass figure. The artist shows a sense of drama in the image which relates to the tone of the movie. The sun going down also acts as the sand in a regular hourglass which makes the viewer’s sense that time is running out. I think the design is effective since the contrast of the image with the dark rock cliffs and bright sky makes the hourglass shape stand out right away.
