Hi, my name is Arsheya Seraji and I’ve enrolled in the IDEA program with a strong passion for drawing and illustration. From when I was a young age, I have loved superheroes, comics, and manga. When I was very young, I would always pester my mom to draw me pictures of Spider-Man, but I would get frustrated when they didn’t meet the image I pictured in my mind. My mom, who is not artistically inclined, eventually got fed up, and told me that if I knew what I wanted so well, that I should draw it myself. Since then, drawing became part of my identity, and I cannot imagine ever stopping. My hobbies include drawing, reading, and watching anime/animated shows. My passion for comics only grew as I got older, and I now aspire to begin creating my own comics soon in the future. My strongest influences are comic book artists such as Greg Capullo and Jack Kirby, and mangakas such as Eiichiro Oda and Kentaro Miura. A few areas I hope to study in this program are sequential art, human anatomy, and drawing scenes.
