For my Zine project, I chose to cover the Mackintosh typeface which is one of my and my parent’s favourite typefaces. I was lucky enough to find that the original dated back to 1903 when Charles Rennie Mackintosh used a version of his own handwriting to create a sign for the Willow Tearooms in Glasgow, Scotland.

Zine on Mackintosh

I honestly really enjoyed this project and I wish it had more pages so I could have put more things and information on the Zine (though some may not agree with me!) I loved getter to express myself and a topic that I am actually interested in. A lot of peers were trying to find more creative fonts and found most of the fun ones were created in the 1950s to the present day, so I got pretty lucky with mine!!

I would give myself an 8.5-9/10 because I put so much time and effort into this project. I was very overwhelmed at the time and not in the best mental state when creating this, but the outcome is quite successful in my opinion.
