Garleen Sandhu is a student at Capilano University, where she is studying to receive her Bachelor’s degree of Design in Visual Communication. After completing her four years at Capilano University, she plans to become a graphic designer and go into advertising. Garleen hopes to use the skills she gains in the next four years to help communicate others’ ideas and stories through her work. Garleen is currently nineteen years old and has lived in Canada her whole life. She is a quiet, anxious person, usually using her art and creativity to visually communicate her ideas when she verbally can’t. Garleen grew up having to move and change schools a lot, which is what influenced her to start drawing. She discovered that art was a way for her to express what she was feeling and going through at the time. Garleen enjoys being able to express her creativity through her art and sharing it with others. Outside her interest in art, Garleen enjoys reading, cooking, as well as spending time with her friends and family.
