For my yearbook I used watercolour, acrylic paints, and markers. I based the theme of the spread on one of the questions, “What is a period in history I would like to be born in?” I chose the Renaissance Era. The Renaissance Era is known for it’s creativity and art such as its paintings, which is why I painted this background. I also resonate with this era because I’m a creative and artistic individual. I made the yearbook spread look very rustic and old by using brown, gold, and orange colours, and then created a letter collage to spell out my name to create an old aesthetic. The layout of the spread was based around the picture of my face, so in order to fit the yearbook questions nicely on the page I wrote them in the clouds so that they can pop out more. I am a very calm and relaxed person and I think that the painted on clouds in the background personify that.
I rate my effort a 10/10
