Mood Board Blog Post

For my Mood Board I chose: Egyptian Hieroglyphics, The Zodiac invented in Babylonia, and the First Olympic Games held in Greece. I chose these because they were very intriguing to me; they stood out from the other topics. I connected them by their uses of symbols: such as Egyptian Hieroglyphs and the characters used to create the language, the zodiac signs/symbols made from constellations, and the Olympic Games logo with the Olympic Rings/Olive branch, plus the use of symbols in the Greek language. Each of these symbols from different periods holds an importance that still impacts today’s society. I’ve learned a lot of different cultures and how ancient civilizations functioned. I also was taught how Babylonians discovered zodiac constellations, how astronomers used math to map celestial planets, how to read Egyptian hieroglyphics and the symbols they represent, and also about how the Olympics were first created and the thrill the event brought to Greek society. By creating my mood board, I’ve learned how to broaden my understanding of how to connect my ideas and finding common ground between them.

This is my favourite part of my mood board. I loved how I laid out my images and it looks very aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

The mark I give myself is a 9.5/10. I feel I deserve this mark because I put a lot of effort into my project, but maybe I could’ve expanded my word vocabulary to make my post more interesting to read?
