Hello, and welcome to my e-portfolio. My name is Sierra Mooney and I am currently enrolled at Capilano University .

I am currently in my third year in the Liberal Studies program. After I graduate, I plan to get my PDP and become an elementary school teacher. I have always loved children and helping them grow into their own person. Growing up I had a couple of teachers that really cared about my education, wanted to see me succeed, and helped me get there. I want to be that teacher for other kids. 

A few years ago I got to see first hand what it was like to connect with children on an educational level. I used to be an outdoor school counsellor where I would teach the kids about the outdoors. I loved being able to see the kids grasp the concepts and information I was teaching them. It was very rewarding. 

I am also a huge animal lover and I have a Portuguese Water dog named Charlie. She helps me live the healthy life that I believe everyone should have. I really enjoy hiking and going to the gym. In my free time I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and traveling. I would love to be able to teach in different parts of the world.
